The intimate story of a boy growing up in a Chinese Buddhist orphanage in Malawi and the cultural challenges he faces between his African roots and Chinese upbringing.
For the past few decades, Buddhist Master Hui Li has been bringing Buddhism to Africa and opening up temples throughout the continent. Growing up in one of these orphanages, Enock Alu becomes educated and skilled at Kung Fu. However, he soon will have to decide his future: will he be staying home for school in Malawi, or will he pursue more opportunities by studying abroad in Taiwan?
